Walters Bender Strohbehn & Vaughan, P.C. is changing its name to “Walters Renwick Richards Skeens & Vaughan, P.C.” WRRSV will include former WBSV shareholders R. Frederick Walters, J. Michael Vaughan, Karen W. Renwick, Kip D. Richards and David M. Skeens. “The newly-constituted firm will continue its broad-based litigation practice, representing a multitude of consumers and other clients in high-stakes cases, locally and nationally, just as we have always done” said attorney Fred Walters.
“We believe our new name marks not only our past, but also our expectation of continued successes for our clients and our firm,” said Walters.
WRRSV will continue to handle a wide variety of civil cases including complex class action and business, products liability, insurance coverage and insurance bad faith and personal injury cases. Together, the shareholders at WRRSV have recovered more than $769 million for their clients since 2007 alone. They have also defended still other clients in numerous cases throughout the country. WRRSV will continue to prosecute class actions and other cases jointly with other attorneys and on referral.
Former WBSV shareholders Thomas V. Bender and J. Brett Milbourn are leaving WBSV May 15 to join Horn, Aylward & Bandy, L.L.C. “Tom and Brett are both talented attorneys and the firm wishes them all the best and much success.” Former WBSV shareholder Michael D. Strohbehn retired from WBSV in April.
An official announcement of the new firm name will be made later this month.
