WRRSV is pleased to announce a $1,431,560.82 class action settlement in Baker, et al. v. Century Financial Group, Inc., et al., Case No. CV100-4294 CC. Fifth Third Bank (in its own capacity, as successor to Old Kent Bank by merger, and as successor in interest to the CFG-Amax Loans formerly held and/or serviced by Amaximis Lending, Limited Partnership and/or Amaximis Company, LLC) has agreed to pay $1,431,560.82 to settle the claims of 41 class members who obtained 22 second mortgage loans from Century Financial Group on or after June 28, 1994. Century Financial Group sold and assigned these 22 loans to Amaximis Lending, Limited Partnership and/or Amaximis Company, LLC. Class Members who do not opt out of the Settlement will be entitled to a substantial settlement payment under the Settlement. The estimated settlement payments range from a low of $550.00 to a high of $80,503.68, with an average of $35,436.80 per loan.
