Our belief in serving justice and doing the right thing extends well beyond our office walls. You’ll find the attorneys and staff at Walters Renwick Richards Skeens & Vaughan taking leadership roles in civic groups, performing extensive pro bono work, and lending their time and talents where they can to help better our community.
WRRSV has been heavily involved with the charitable programs of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, including the KCMBA Volunteer Attorney Project. Our attorneys have spoken at continuing legal education seminars, been active in the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, held leadership roles in the Johnson County Bar Foundation, served as president of the Lawyers’ Association of Kansas City, raised money for the numerous local charities aided by the Association for Women Lawyers Foundation and the Johnson County Bar Foundation, and worked with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
Our charitable work goes beyond legal circles, as well, to help raise money and awareness for causes close to our hearts and to help shape the character of the city we love.
Our attorneys and staff work to improve our community at large through participation with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the REACH Health Care Foundation, the Multiple Sclerosis Board of Directors, Leadership Kansas and Leadership Overland Park, the Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life, and the Fairway Kansas Planning Commission. WRRSV has also served on the St. Patrick’s Day and American Royal Parade Committees, chaired the Sunflower House Valentine Gala, and has been involved with the El Dorado Springs Educational Foundation.
Additionally, many of our attorneys and staff regularly donate countless hours to programs sponsored by their local churches and schools.
