“The staff and attorneys at WRRSV pride themselves in hard work. Our firm is known for our diligence and ability to get things done.”
A law firm with heart: that’s how Melissa Williamson describes Walters Renwick Richards Skeens & Vaughan, P.C. Our lawyers and staff take the time to listen to clients, address their needs, and make sure they understand their cases. That’s a level of attention Melissa not only values, but enables.
A native of Warsaw, Missouri, population of just over 2,000, Melissa made her way to Kansas City and WRRSV by way of the University of Missouri, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing. While there, she volunteered as a poetry teacher, helping children ages 7 through 12 find their voice and express their ideas.
She brought that gift of connecting with people to WRRSV in 2009, when she joined the firm as a legal assistant to Michael Vaughan, David Skeens, and Vanessa Herman. Melissa primarily works on life insurance and annuity cases, including class action and multi-district litigation throughout the country. Her job is to ensure that everyone has the knowledge and information they need to keep cases running smoothly. Often the liaison between attorneys, clients, and the courts, Melissa makes sure everyone’s voice and concerns are heard.
